Zachary R. Cowart is a founding partner of Cowart & Perry, LLP, which opened in July of 2008. Mr. Cowart is a lifelong Georgia who was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia.
Mr. Cowart has been practicing law since 2003 after graduation from the University of Georgia with his undergraduate degree in political science in 2000, and his Juris Doctorate in 2003 also from the University of Georgia.
Mr. Cowart has developed extensive expertise in multiple areas of law over his career. Mr. Cowart's practice currently focuses on mediations, real estate, criminal and civil litigation.
Mr. Cowart is an active member of Park Avenue Church, is the Board Chair for Scintilla Charter Academy, and is a volunteer with VLPRA where he coaches multiple youth sports. His wife, Amy, is employed at Synovus Bank and his children are students at Scintilla Charter Academy.
Currently, Mr. Cowart is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Valdosta Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, The Valdosta Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the United States District Court-Middle District of Georgia.
Mark E. Perry is a founding partner of Cowart & Perry, LLP, which opened in July of 2008. Mr. Perry is a lifelong Georgian who was born in Nashville, Georgia and raised in Valdosta, Georgia.
Mr. Perry earned his bachelor's degree in finance at the University of Georgia in 2001, and his Juris Doctorate at Georgia State University College of Law in 2005.
Mr. Perry has developed extensive expertise in multiple areas of law over his career. However, today his focus is primarily in the areas of real estate transactions, wills, estates, probate law, business law, and personal injury trial practice. Mr. Perry represents individuals, families, corporations, and governments.
Currently, Mr. Perry is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Valdosta Bar Association, the United States District Court-Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court – Middle District of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Mr. Perry is an active member of Park Avenue Church and is a volunteer in many local organizations. He and his wife, Paige, have three children and are active in the community.
